Who is the host for this experience?

This experience is created and led by passionate individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community who wanted to bring their cultural and historical knowledge to audiences across all demographics. Because we work with a handful of vendors, we will not be able to confirm the specific vendor until after booking.

Can I request a specific host?

We are unable to guarantee certain hosts for Pride Trivia, as their booking is dependent on availability. Please drop a note in the 'special requests' section when booking, and we'll do our best to make it happen. Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

I've played this game before. Can I play again?

No, there is only one game board for Pride Trivia. If booked, you will be playing through the same game content. Question 4

How does Trivia work?

Pride Trivia has 4 rounds. For the first 3 write-in rounds, each team will discuss and record their answers on a digital answer sheet provided at the start of the game. For the final lightning round, participants will use a digital buzzer to buzz in and answer on behalf of their team.

How does this experience change when it's run as a hybrid event?

**Structure of the game:** For the hybrid option, there are only 3 write-in rounds, no buzz-in round.

**Randomized teams:** In-person participants will self-organize into teams! Your host will help explain this on the day of your event. While those in-person folks are organizing themselves, your host will randomly assign any virtual players into teams by using breakout rooms via Zoom. Everyone will play LGBTQIA+ History & Culture Trivia together in the same room!

In the event that there aren't enough virtual or in-person participants to form their own team, teams can consist of a mix of both, using their shared communication tool for discussion.

**Tech setup:** For in-office participants, we recommend using a shared projector screen or TV setup, so at least one computer is needed to connect to the Zoom! All participants will need a phone to 'whisper' to their teammates about their answers and team captains will use their phones to submit answers on behalf of their team.

What if fewer people show up than planned for?

If you would like a refund for participants who did not attend, please reach out to our support team (support@withconfetti.com) within 2 business days after your event to confirm your booking meets the criteria and we’ll refund you with Confetti Credits.

What is the level of difficulty for this game?

Difficulty is subjective! We try to make all of our games fun but the right amount of challenging. Because it is focused on a specific topic, the questions for LGBTQIA+ History & Culture Trivia may be slightly more challenging than our classic Trivia game, but players will still be able to make educated guesses.

That being said, it is still a great team building experience, and there’s always the potential for sparkle points!

Is this game work appropriate and international friendly?

Our games are designed with corporate teams in mind and, based on customer input, we consider this game to be international-friendly! However, we are a U.S.-based team and some questions may require basic knowledge of U.S. pop culture. Please note that the content for this game is based on history & culture in America.

Please make sure to enter your group details and any other relevant info in the ‘context for your host’ section of your event briefing after booking. We can’t guarantee content adjustments, but we gladly welcome feedback.

Can I see the list of questions and answers beforehand?

As company policy, we do not provide Pride Trivia game content for approval ahead of time (and to prevent spoilers!) but rest assured that our games team creates and vets all of the questions for our hosted game experiences. 💪

Can we create team names?

Accepted Answer

Yes! If selecting 'choose your teams' for your team assignment, we provide a sign-up sheet to fill out your players' names and team name ahead of time. If selecting 'randomized' as your team assignment, team names will be decided on the day of the event once teams are created!

What communication tool do you provide?

For teams that don’t have a shared communication tool, we provide a [web chat alternative](https://tlk.io/). On the day of the event, your host will create and distribute chat links to participants via [Google Sheets](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hFC0hOfa9OJCSdxUlBg46rhIWmdp6PGjofZLUSzg14U/edit#gid=0). No download required!

Please write in the 'shared communication tool' section that you'll need an alternative provided. In addition, let us know if your company has any firewall restrictions or if you are unable to access the links above.

Can this experience be shortened?

LGBTQIA+ History & Culture Trivia lasts around 60 minutes. Our hosts try to keep gameplay as close to schedule as possible, but there may be some fluctuations based on introductions, group size, and group dynamics.

If you would like this experience shortened to 45 minutes, let us know in the special requests section. Please note that some content will have to be omitted for a shorter duration. In addition, we cannot accommodate any price adjustments.

How many winners are there? Can we award prizes?

Prizes are **not** included or required. You're welcome to source your own prizes, just drop us a note in the 'special requests' section **ahead of time**. There will be one winning team with between 3-5 players depending on final headcount.

Can this event be recorded? Can a photo be taken?

📸 **Photos / screenshots:** Our hosts always do their best to catch a screenshot at the end of your event. If you would like a photo, feel free to remind your host at the start of your event.

📹 **Video recordings:** This event can be recorded. To ensure a recording is taken, **please request one from your host at the start of your event** - they’re happy to accommodate when asked!
