❓ What are BYO experiences?
If you are looking for a way to bring your team together without the complexity of shipping logistics, BYO (Bring Your Own) experiences are your perfect match! These events are budget-friendly, incredibly easy to coordinate, and inclusive for teams spread across the globe.
Instead of a physical kit arriving in the mail, we provide you with a curated shopping list of supplies or ingredients. This allows your team to participate no matter where they are located, and it's a fantastic option for those planning on a tighter timeline or budget.
📄 How BYO Experiences Work
After booking, you will receive your Event Briefing which will contain a shopping list designed to be flexible, affordable, and accessible. Most items can be found at a local grocery store, and your team might even have many of them in their pantry or craft drawer already!
On the day of the event, your team will join a Zoom call where an expert host will lead the session. While we ensure the lists are standard, please keep in mind that the cost of materials may vary slightly depending on your participants' local region and availability.

🗓️ BYO Booking Timelines & Availability
One of the biggest perks of a BYO experience is the flexibility. Because we don't need to pack and ship physical boxes, these events generally have much shorter lead times than our shipped experiences.
When you are browsing our platform, you can check real-time availability for your desired date directly on the experience page. This makes BYO a "lifesaver" option for last-minute team celebrations or spontaneous bonding moments! For more information, check out our page about Date Availability.
🛒 Preparation & Shopping Lists
We want you to feel prepared well before joining your event. You can find everything you need to know in two places:
Before Booking: Many experiences feature sample shopping lists under the Required From You section on the experience page (just like this one).
After Booking: Your specific prep sheet will be included in your Event Briefing under the 'Event Invite' section. You can either download this to share with the team, or share your unique Invitation Page which has the prep sheet included automatically!
We recommend sharing these lists with your team as soon as you receive them to ensure everyone has their materials ready to go before the fun begins.
📦 Managing Your Own Materials
If you’d like to provide materials for your team yourself, you are more than welcome to do so! We just ask that you keep two things in mind:
Stick to the List: Please ensure your materials align exactly with our recommended list. Our hosts follow pre-vetted recipes and crafts designed for the best engagement, so they won't be able to deviate from the planned activity.
Timing is Everything: Since BYO timelines don't account for shipping, please ensure any self-shipped items arrive well in advance of the event date.
Gift Card Alternative: To make things even easier, you can send your team online gift cards through the Confetti platform! This allows them to pick up their own supplies while you still cover the cost.
