The best way to build team chemistry and make everyone feel valued at work is to incorporate a handful of fun and engaging events into your yearly schedule. And when it comes to bringing people together for some fun and camaraderie, few events rival the excitement of the Super Bowl. The upcoming game offers the perfect opportunity to kick off 2025 with a bang.

So, how can you host the best Super Bowl party for your hybrid or remote workforce and score a touchdown with your team? 🏈 Check out our list of 10 Super Bowl party ideas that the whole office will love.

1. Catch the highlight reel

Kick off your Super Bowl party with a highlight reel video montage of memorable Super Bowl moments. Include iconic plays, hilarious commercials, and anything else you think your employees will like. You can post the highlight reel to a private YouTube channel or share your screen and play it using your team’s go-to video conferencing tool.

For even better engagement, weave in clips and highlights from your business to mix things up. See if the crowd can spot the workplace easter eggs that you sprinkle throughout the video. Bonus points if you can pull off a dramatic "And here's where we fumbled that last project!" comparison clip. 😅 Just keep it respectful and make sure to poke fun at yourself so no one feels singled out.

2. Prediction contest

Who doesn't love a little friendly competition? Set up a prediction contest where your employees guess which of the final two teams will win the big game. But don't stop there. Add a few more predictions to make your contest interesting for everyone, such as:

  • How many commercials will feature dogs
  • What song the halftime performer will sing first
  • How many beer commercials will play during each half
  • How many turnovers there will be
  • Who will win MVP
  • Which team will score first

Aim to include eight to ten items on your list of predictions and create an online form. Give everyone a chance to submit their picks, and track live which predictions come to pass as the game goes on.

Incentivize participation by giving the winner cash, a gift card, or some other prize. Make sure you have enough prizes to go around in the event of a tie.

3. Team spirit photo competition

One of our favorite Super Bowl party ideas involves hosting a team spirit photo contest. Encourage your coworkers to show off their team pride by wearing jerseys, panting their faces, or decking out their home offices in team colors.

Create a shared drive so that everyone can post their pictures and so coworkers can vote on their favorites, including categories like "Most Creative" and "Best Dressed Pet." Encourage guests to have fun with the experience and think outside of the box with their decorations.

4. Play NFL-themed trivia

Do you have some hardcore sports fans in the office? Sounds like it's time to test everyone's football knowledge with a round of NFL-themed trivia.

Use a quiz platform to make things interactive. You can let everyone play solo or divide them into small groups. Just make sure that all of your sports fanatics don't end up together. You want all of the teams playing trivia to have a fair chance of winning.

Don't have time to come up with your own questions or customize a quiz platform?  Check out NFL Jeoparty from Confetti. Our NFL-themed game flips trivia on its head. Contestants will receive the answer and respond with the question that matches it. NFL Jeoparty is a great option for fully remote or hybrid settings. It can support up to 30 players and takes about 45 to 60 minutes to play.

5. Share your Super Bowl spread

Sharing your Big Game spread is by far the tastiest of the Super Bowl party ideas on our list. 😋 With a little creativity, you can organize a virtual tailgate party for your remote or hybrid employees.

Great food is a staple of any Super Bowl party. Make a list of Super Bowl-themed food and ask each of your guests to share their favorite versions of these food and drink items. Focus on finger foods and popular Super Bowl snacks, such as:

  • Chicken wings
  • Chips
  • Brownies
  • Pizza
  • Treat bags
  • Other fan-favorite snacks

Talk to your team when creating your virtual recipe-sharing menu so that you can feature a broad mix of items. Then, encourage your guests to share pictures when they make their favorite football-themed recipes.

6. Tacos (Need we say more?)

The Super Bowl may not fall on a Tuesday, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate with tacos. Chances are that each team member will have their own little twist on making game-day tacos. Why not share ideas, trade recipes, and exchange pictures of your delectable dishes?

Want to help everyone elevate their taco game? Schedule a taco making class with Confetti. A culinary pro will teach you and your remote team how to make top-notch tacos from scratch. You'll learn how to make your very own tortillas, prep fresh salsa, and more.

7. Commercial bingo

Super Bowl ads are almost as famous as the game itself. Why not make them part of the fun?

Super Bowl commercial bingo is a great way to keep your employees engaged during ad breaks. Create bingo cards featuring common ad themes like "talking animals," "celebrity cameo," and "familiar musical numbers." The first person to bingo wins a prize.

If you've got a large team, you may want to give out prizes for the top three winners. That way, if someone gets lucky and hits bingo in the first half of the Super Bowl, everyone else has a reason to keep playing.

8. Guided football crafts

Give your team members a list of essentials so they can head down to their local craft store and pick up supplies like mason jars, craft paper, paint, or markers — or gather them yourself and send them out to employees. Some crafting party ideas include creating pennants with team logos, decorating mini footballs, or making paper footballs for tabletop games.

Not sure where to start (or having trouble channeling your inner Picasso)? Save time and find the perfect arts and crafts project by partnering with Confetti. Our instructor-led arts and crafts classes are a fun way to build chemistry and give your employees a memento to commemorate your virtual Super Bowl party.

9. Pick Super Bowl Squares

Super Bowl Squares is a 10-by-10 grid with the numbers 0 through 9 written along the horizontal and vertical edge of the squares. These numbers represent the last digit of each team's score. Assign every participant one or more squares (depending on the size of your team). The winner is the person whose square corresponds with the final number of each team's score.

Prep for this game is as simple as creating a grid using Google Sheets. You can quadruple the fun by awarding prizes for quarters one, two, and three, as well as the final game score.

10. Super Bowl happy hour

Your team is going to be off the clock during the Big Game, which makes it the perfect time to relax with an ice-cold beer or creative cocktail. Why not give them some inspiration by creating a shareable list of cocktails and creative mocktails?

Want to learn how to make a festive drink before the big game? Check out the Sip 'N Learn: Super Bowl group activity from Confetti that combines a traditional happy hour with educational learning. Our hybrid or remote event can accommodate up to 250 people and takes about an hour to complete. You and your guests will learn how to make Touchdown Punch while covering the highs and lows of the season.
